LASER Trident Awards has developed a Level 1 Initial Assessment tool to support learners. The pack has been devised as a quick and easy tool to assess a learner’s English skills. It is particularly suited to those centres offering security qualifications that do not have a formal mechanism for ensuring and recording Level 1 English language skills.

The Initial Assessment meets the SIA’s regulations that all candidates undertaking Level 2 qualifications must demonstrate that they function at level 1 in English as a minimum.
