New Qualification Alert: Level 5 Award in Understanding Digital Leadership in Adult Social Care

Do you have learners working in adult social care? LASER’s NEW Level 5 Award in Understanding Digital Leadership gives your learners the knowledge and skills to drive digital change within their workplace. The qualification includes three mandatory units designed to build confidence in using technology, leading organisational change, and applying technology and data effectively in adult social care.

This qualification is ideal for CPD and is funded through the Learning and Development Support Scheme (LDSS). It is aimed at those working within an adult social care setting at a managerial or senior level in England.

The aim of the qualification is to give learners the confidence and skills to lead the use of technology in the delivery of care, enhancing the quality of life and outcomes for people who draw on care and support.

It empowers learners to lead digital transformation within their organisation and help to develop technology within the wider workforce. Ideal for those in a leadership role who are responsible for implementing digital change.

Assessment Overview

• Assessed through the development of a portfolio of evidence

• Centres can use varied assessment methods such as essays, reports, or discussions, supported by LASER’s guidance

• Assessed internally by the centre with external quality assurance from LASER

• This qualification is graded pass/fail

Entry Requirements

• Learners must be 18+ years old

• Ideally within a leadership role in adult social care (not mandatory)

• Learners must have already achieved at least a Level 3 qualification

How to Offer This Qualification

To deliver this qualification, your organisation must be a LASER Approved Centre. If you're not yet approved, we welcome new applications. If you're already an Approved Centre, simply submit a New Course Notification Form before delivery.
