Becoming a LASER Centre - Application Stages
LASER Learning Awards is committed to helping you achieve excellence in education and training. By joining our large network of LASER centres you will benefit from our extensive expertise and dedicated support, tailored to your and your learners’ needs.
We would like to make the on-boarding process as simple as possible, so please see below for a detailed step by step guide. We are looking forward to working with you!
Step 1 - Submit Centre Recognition (CR) Application
Complete and submit your Centre Recognition (CR) application form along with all required documents to LASER.
Step 2 - Application Fee Invoiced
You will receive an invoice for the application fee. Payment must be made before the application can proceed. If payment is not received within the invoice terms, the application will be closed.
Step 3 - Application Review Begins
Once payment is received, we will review your application for completeness and eligibility. This includes verifying your organisation and contact details. You may be asked to provide additional information or clarification. If approval is refused at this stage, you will be informed in accordance with our Centre and Individual Approval Policy. Please note that all application fees are non-refundable.
Step 4 - Qualification and Tutor/IQA Approval Forms Provided (if applicable)
If any of the qualifications that you wish to offer require additional approval, you will be asked to complete the relevant qualification and Tutor/IQA approval forms
Step 5 - Approval Visit Arranged
Once all documentation has been received and reviewed, and if your approval has not been refused by this stage, we will arrange an approval meeting with one of our Quality Curriculum Reviewers (QCR).
Step 6 - Approval Visit Conducted
The QCR will carry out the approval visit either virtually or in person and will review of your application, documentation, and provision.
Step 7 - Outcome Notification
You will be notified of the outcome, which will be one of the following: approval, approval with conditions, deferral, or refusal.
Step 8 - Complete Any Required Actions
If your approval is conditional or deferred, you will be provided with timescales for completing any required actions or meeting specified conditions.
Step 9 - Sign Centre Recognition Agreement
Once full approval is granted, you will be asked to sign the Centre Recognition Agreement. This should be signed by your Head of Centre.
Step 10 - System Access and Setup
We will set up your access to the QuartzWeb portal and, where applicable, provide access to our online exam platform for centres offering online assessment programmes.
Step 11 - Receive Welcome Pack
You will receive a welcome pack containing your Centre Recognition Certificate, QCR report, Centre Handbook, and guidance documents, along with your online login information.
