What is Notetaking Skills for Support Staff?
The LASER Level 3 Award in Notetaking Skills for Support Staff Working with Sensory Impaired Learners is designed for teachers/tutors/lecturers/support assistants in a Higher Education setting but would also be appropriate to those working with younger learners.
The Department for Education has approved the qualifications for inclusion on the Quality Assurance Framework for Disabled Learners Allowance for Higher Education Institutions.
What Pathways are Available?
The two pathways available are:
- Deaf and Hard of Hearing
- Vision Impairment

How do I deliver this qualification as a centre?
To offer this qualification, you must be a Recognised LASER Centre. For further information about gaining recognition or working in partnership with a Recognised Centre please visit our website. Existing Recognised Centres must complete a New Course Notification Form before starting to deliver the qualification.
