Effective research skills are a cornerstone of academic success, helping learners plan, evaluate, and present information with confidence. The LASER Level 3 Award in Research Skills for Academic Study has been designed to support learners in developing these essential abilities, while giving centres a flexible, high-value qualification to add to their curriculum.
Learners gain practical experience in identifying reliable sources, applying research to academic writing, and referencing correctly. The qualification also carries 8 UCAS tariff points, making it an attractive addition for those progressing to university.

How to Offer This Qualification
To deliver this qualification, your organisation must be a LASER Approved Centre. If you're not yet approved, we welcome new applications. If you're already an Approved Centre, simply submit a New Course Notification Form before delivery.
